Mr Jim Grace
I have lived in the local area for over 20 years with my wife and we have Myles who started at the school in 2015 and Paige who will hopefully be joining in 2019.
I’m a chartered Mechanical Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and have worked throughout the UK nuclear industry for over 25 years. I therefore come from a highly regulated industry where governance and assurance are vital to ensure the safety of the workers and members of the public. This rings very true for the pupils and the community in which we all live.
I believe a balanced education and upbringing is so important in today’s society. This comprises not only of good academic teaching and qualifications, but also valuable life skills, in order to succeed. These softer skills can’t necessarily be taught in a classroom. Our children gain and hone these over the years from the environment in which they are brought up. The school plays a vital part in influencing that environment and my aim is to ensure that HCCS excels so that the staff and pupils alike are able to fulfill their dreams and potential.
