Miss Ann Mottram
Originally from the outskirts of Congleton, I lived and worked in a variety of areas of the UK, before returning in January 2015 to take up the post of Attendance Manager at HCCS.
In my early career I served 14 years working for Barclays PLC where I was fortunate enough to fulfil a variety of roles including customer facing, staff training and supervisory roles.
After having two children I then re-trained and qualified as a teaching assistant. Initially working with nursery aged children, I then moved into a Special Educational Needs school catering for students aged between 3 and 16 with moderate learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder.
Working my way to become the School Business Manager and member of the Senior Leadership Team, I was also a named Safeguarding Officer.
I feel it’s important to treat Student’s as individuals, encouraging mutual respect, enhancing their strengths whilst taking the time and effort to develop their confidence and ability to improve weaker areas. Seeing Student’s develop through their school career then moving on to successful post 16 placements or employment is very rewarding and I feel privileged to be a part of this positive process.
I am looking forward to using the skills, knowledge and experience I have gained to making a positive contribution in helping to ensure the continuing success of HCCS.
