Free School Meals

Key Workers.png

Dear Parent(s)/Carers

Following the announcement made yesterday by the Prime Minister, our school site will be closing down after school on Friday 20th March as part of the national directive to help limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  We need to make arrangements to ensure that children who access free meals whilst at school are still able to do so during the coming weeks. I am writing to you to let you know that as part of our Pupil Premium strategy, we want to continue to support children and families who are currently in receipt of free school meals.

Your child is one of a number of children that fall into this category and we would like to continue to provide funding to families during the school closure. We will provide £4 per day for each child who would normally access free school meals. In order to make this funding available in a timely and straightforward manner, we intend to make payments directly into your bank account. This payment will be altered if your child continues to attend school as part of the key worker and vulnerable student scheme.

To ensure you receive this funding from next week, we would be grateful if you could provide us with the bank account number and sort code that you would wish us to use. Please complete this online form as soon as possible so that we can have this facility set up. This should only take a few minutes to complete.

The form is available at:

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the provision of free school meals please contact in the first instance.

Yours sincerely
