Mrs Karren Morgan
Community Governor
Living in Brereton, I have two girls attending HCCS and have been incredibly impressed by the outstanding education and care offered by a very dedicated and hard-working team of staff at the school. I firmly believe that as we travel through our childhood years, we are shaped and guided by some of the most influential people in our lives - our teachers. Hence, my desire to help support a very crucial part of our community and it’s future.
Prior to returning to education to qualify as a person-centred counsellor, I gained over thirty years’ senior experience in both the public and private sectors; working in the NHS, for GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and also in hi-tech marketing. Currently as trainee counsellor I provide voluntary counselling services to female prisoners and to women suffering domestic abuse. Though challenging, these roles provide a constant reminder of my privileges and the positive role models I have encountered in my life both socially, professionally and educationally. How we support our children on their life-journey is critical to their success and happiness in life and I am therefore delighted to be joining Holmes Chapel as a Governor.
