We continue to monitor the situation regarding the Coronavirus outbreak and the specialist advice being provided to schools. During the Alternative Learning Week (ALW) in July, we had organised three educational trips involving 125 students and staff. The trips would have involved our Sports, Music and Modern Foreign Languages departments travelling to Italy, Paris and Barcelona.
Given the current uncertainty, we have taken the decision to cancel all overseas trips for this school year.
We understand that students and staff will be very disappointed to hear this news but under the current, unprecedented circumstances, we hope that everyone will understand us taking this decision. Our school will provide a full refund to all of the students who have paid deposits for these trips.
The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is our first priority. Taking this decision early allows us the opportunity to best manage the risks for our whole school community with regard to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Further you our announcement yesterday regarding the cancellation of overseas school trips, I write to inform you that we are in the process of organising refunds of monies that you have already paid to us in relation to each trip.
We are working with the travel companies and our school finance team to keep the loss to the school to a minimum. We will aim to action refunds to each student as soon as possible. This may take up to 28 days and we would ask for your patience during this time.
