I wanted to drop you all a line this evening to say thank you for coming along this morning and helping to make the GCSE results day such a positive experience. It has been such a difficult few months for everyone with lockdown and major restrictions on how we all live our lives. We thought that it was important today that students had the opportunity to come and collect their results in person. It is probably the closest everyone has come to experiencing the normal end of year 11 and the end of ‘school’.
The GCSE results day today felt like a very positive experience with lots of happy students celebrating their success in this most unusual of years. Thanks to all of the families who came along to support their children and for the many words of thanks to our staff. The atmosphere around the sixth form was highly enjoyable with friends and families sharing their great news. I would also like to thank staff for making themself available today to offer help and support to students. I hope that the opportunity to catch up with friends made the morning an enjoyable one.
Enrollment into our Sixth Form went well and we managed to help lots of students to choose the best learning pathways for them. It was really good to see the range of subjects and pathways that we were able to design around individuals. I’m convinced that the year ahead in our sixth form will be varied and interesting as we learn to make good use of the new facilities.
I would just like to remind you that enrollment into our sixth form is still open and will continue to be over the next two weeks. So if you would like to come and talk to us about your options and what we can offer you, please come and talk to us. We will have senior staff available all next week and we would be delighted to talk to you. Just drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
On behalf of all of us here at school I would like to wish every single one of you the very best of luck for the future.
