Message to parents and students
Thank you everyone for your hard work and continued support as we continue to develop the Education At Home programme. In these most unusual and testing times, our objective is to continue to improve the way we support learners whilst away from the school environment. Everyone in our school community has a role to play in providing the best possible support to students and their families.
Today, we have posted an update on the school blog about changes that we will be making to the delivery of education at home. The changes we are making are designed to ensure that every member of our school community, staff included, can work effectively in safe environments. This updated guidance includes information about the adaptations and additions to our ‘in school’ and at home provision from 1 June. We have included some important information about feedback and assessment as well as information to support the delivery of ‘live lessons’. Please set aside some time to carefully read the information. This information is being shared with parents and staff so that we all have the same understanding of the key elements of our education at home programme. The full document can be accessed here
Next week we will be launching a review of the programme to date and will be asking parents and students for feedback on their experiences so far. This information will help us to better understand the needs and concerns that people have whilst also celebrating some of the wonderful things achieved during lockdown. We hope that as many parents and students as possible will contribute. More information in the school newsletter next Friday.
