Mrs Sophie Lavin
“Thank you to the school community for electing me to join the board of governors. I am beginning to learn more about the school and supporting the creative and progressive work being done to support the education and development of our teenagers.
My day-job is writing, and part-time as a counsellor with NSPCC Childline. I am a psychology graduate with a particular interest in teenage development, wellbeing and opportunity. I have one child in Year 10 and another at university, both of whom have specific learning difficulties. Our family has been fortunate enough to be offered a new home in the village as part of a social housing scheme and view this opportunity as a privilege to invest in our community.
I feel that the position of Parent Governor is one of listening and learning, and I look forward to it.”
